Dear Ms Debbie Cook
Explore one of the most dynamic markets in the Gulf region
Saudi Arabia is the UK’s largest trading partner in the Middle East and our second largest export market in the region. It is the UK’s 23rd largest export market overall, with exports worth £2,270 million in 2008. The UK is Saudi Arabia's second largest foreign investor after the USA, with total imports of £728 million in 2008.
We are inviting companies to join our Market Visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in May 2010 to explore the significant opportunities that exist for UK companies. Take part in our visit to this dynamic country and you will experience the market, meet the people, build contacts and potentially win new business.
What are the opportunities? Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing economy is creating opportunities for both exporters and investors. These are further boosted by moves to diversify the economy away from dependence on oil and gas; by economic reform programmes and market liberalisation; and by an emerging and growing private sector.
There are opportunities at all levels in sectors including: Consumer Goods, Financial Services, Construction (includes mass transport infrastructure), environmental technology and services, ICT, power, education & training, transport, oil, gas and petrochemicals and vocational, technical and business education.
Why join this visit? As the UK Government’s export support organisation, we help 1000’s of UK companies every year to successfully sell products or services abroad.
Here are just some of the benefits to be gained from joining this UK Trade & Investment market visit:
- A £600 grant will be available for eligible companies. - Help with researching sales contacts - so that you can focus on selling and building relationships. - Access the latest market information - our staff in the UK and overseas are on hand to help. - Attract interest in your company by inviting your contacts to a high profile reception. - Being part of a British Government associated visit boosts credibility and can lead to highly valuable business. - We will support you before, during and after your visit to make sure your visit is a success.
